  • Similarity:

  • Both Frida Escobedo's Serpentine pavilion and Lina Ghotmeh's surrounding nature. Also, they used a sustainable way to refilter airflow and sunlight. Ghotmeh's Utilizes walls and roof to allow filtered sunlight and airflow, while Escobedo's employs a lattice pattern in the concrete walls locally constructed and produced to build, providing varying degrees of transparency based on lighting conditions.

  • Sustainability is a common now days in both projects. In Escobedo's pavilion she built it with simple materials using, minimum foundations, and is easily removable for future reassemble. Which demonstrating its commitment to environmental soul. Similarly, Ghotmeh's vacation house is built with a sustainable material using wood and a simple design using similar way of Escobedo's lattice wall, highlighting the significance of environmentally responsible construction processes. Difference:

  • The number of entries varies between the two structures. Escobedo's pavilion has two entrances, one from the street and one from the gallery, but Ghotmeh's holiday house has many entrances, providing multiple points of entry.

  • the use of Water appears in Escobedo's design but not in Ghotmeh's. Escobedo's pavilion uses water to create a sky reflection. While Ghotmeh's concentration on the building filtering gaps in the roof to remove heat.

  • Diffirant use of lighting methods between the two projects. Escobedo used water reflections and the carful placement of the open area to reflect natural light to the closed side, whereas Ghotmeh uses a roof design that consumes sunlight as a morning light, in both projects showing different technique to bring natural light into architecture.
